The role involves ensuring our garden care service runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. You'll oversee a portfolio of garden care clients, support and develop a team of gardeners, and act as the link between clients, gardeners, and the wider business. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, making decisions, helping people succeed, and continuously improving the way things are done. - Provide guidance, feedback, and horticultural support.
- Review completed visits and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and maintain high standards of work.
- Support gardeners in overcoming challenges and solving problems in the field.
- Ensure gardeners have the equipment, materials, and information required for each visit.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and supportive team culture.
Client Care:
- Act as the primary point of contact for existing garden care clients.
- Build strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Conduct regular garden reviews and identify opportunities for development.
- Provide horticultural recommendations and seasonal guidance.
- Manage client feedback professionally and constructively.
- Ensure clients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout their relationship with Flow Gardeners.
- Help clients achieve their long‑term goals for their gardens.
Scheduling & Operations:
- Coordinate gardener schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
- Respond quickly to weather events, staff absences, emergencies, and changing circumstances.
- Monitor capacity and ensure the gardening team remains fully and efficiently utilised.
- Ensure visits are delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Coordinate deliveries of plants, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain accurate records within our CRM and operational systems.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to processes and workflows.
- Develop annual maintenance plans for gardens under management.
- Advise gardeners and clients on planting, pruning, seasonal tasks, and garden development.
- Assess gardens and recommend improvements based on soil, aspect, drainage, and site conditions.
- Support plant sourcing and specification.
- Assist with planting projects and seasonal garden improvements.
- Ensure horticultural best practice is consistently applied across all gardens.
