About the role
The Premises Manager is responsible for the maintenance and security of the building and grounds, ensuring cleanliness of the site, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and secure the premises, building and grounds.
- Ensure cleanliness and welcome environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
- Ensure full compliance with current health and safety legislation.
- Perform routine maintenance, including painting, decorating, DIY and general repairs.
- Attend to emergencies outside school hours (full driving licence required).
- Assist with meetings, special events and parents’ evenings as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Premises/Site Manager or in the building trade is desirable.
- Good ICT, literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
- Ability to relate well to children and staff and interact in a friendly, positive manner.
- Full driving licence for emergency attendance.
