Description

At Flowdesk, we are building the infrastructure powering the next era of global finance.

As a full-service digital asset trading and technology firm, we provide liquidity solutions, OTC trading, and market infrastructure that connect digital assets to global markets with institutional-grade precision, transparency, and scale.

Flowdesk combines expertise from traditional finance, algorithmic trading, and blockchain technology to deliver always-on trading capabilities across the digital asset ecosystem.

Founded in 2020, we are a global team supporting institutions, exchanges, and token issuers to enable a tokenized financial markets ecosystem.

Why join Flowdesk?

You'll be joining a company operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and crypto; solving complex market problems, building the infrastructure that keeps our trading operations running, and shaping how we connect to exchanges globally.

We move fast, think long term, and work with a strong ownership mindset across engineering, trading, product, operations, and business teams.

Role Description

This is a search for a sharp, organised, and technically literate operator to own our exchange onboarding and connectivity lifecycle end-to-end; from the moment a deal is signed through to trading going live, and beyond.

The role sits at the intersection of project management, technical coordination, and exchange relationship management: roughly 50% operational delivery and 50% technical execution.

You will be the central point of contact across internal teams (trading, engineering, sales) and external exchange partners, ensuring every venue integration is delivered on time, tested correctly, and maintained without disruption.

This role suits someone early-to-mid career who is highly organised, proactive, not afraid to push for answers, and eager to develop deep crypto market structure knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the full exchange onboarding lifecycle: from contract signature through integration, testing, and trading go-live.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between Flowdesk and exchange partners throughout the onboarding process, including API endpoint configuration, credentialing, and compatibility checks.
  • Coordinating internally across trading, engineering, and sales teams to ensure all dependencies are tracked and resolved on schedule.
  • Running and documenting pre-go-live testing: endpoint validation, order flow testing, and sign-off on readiness criteria.
  • Maintaining a live tracking system for all active venue integrations, upgrades, and exchange-driven changes (EDC).
  • Managing ongoing exchange relationship touchpoints post-launch: upgrade cycles, protocol changes, and incident escalation.
  • Supporting the engineering team on initial integration stages where technical input is required (API review, compatibility assessment, test design).
  • Identifying and escalating integration risks early, with a clear view of what is blocking go-live at any point in time
  • Building and maintaining internal documentation for each venue: credentials, architecture, contacts, known issues, and go-live history.

Requirements

  • Must have
  • 2+ years experience in a crypto trading firm, exchange, or digital asset infrastructure business in an operations, project management, or technical coordination role.
  • Solid understanding of crypto exchange connectivity concepts: REST and Web Socket APIs, order management, credentialing, and test environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with strong attention to detail and structured follow-through.
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with external exchange counterparts and internal stakeholders across trading, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Technically literate: able to read API documentation, understand endpoint structures, assess compatibility, and design basic test criteria - without necessarily being a software engineer.
  • Organised and proactive with a 'get it done' mindset - able to push projects forward, chase blockers, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Solid written and verbal communication in English; able to produce clear internal documentation and external exchange correspondence.
  • Preferred
  • Hands-on experience with exchange API integrations or connectivity testing in a production context.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol, Web Socket feed handling, or similar market data and order routing protocols.
  • Experience using project tracking tools (e. g. Jira, Notion, Linear) to manage integration pipelines.
  • Knowledge of exchange upgrade and EDC management processes.
  • Exposure to both centralised (CEX) and decentralised (DEX) exchange environments.
  • Basic scripting ability (Python or similar) for API testing or operational tooling.
  • Person Profile
  • Curious and autonomous.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong maths and analytical skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Company Culture & Values
  • Take Action & Own the Mission.
  • Be of Service & Contribute.
  • Innovate, Create Value, & Be Courageous.
  • Act with Integrity & Respect.
  • Recruitment Process

Our process is designed to assess genuine depth across both operational and technical dimensions. Candidates should expect the following stages:

  • Stage 1: First round interview with a member of our Talent Acquisition team (45 mins).
  • Stage 2: 30-45 mins with CTO/Head of Core Engineering - background discussion.
  • Stage 3: Coderpad take home assignment.
