Our client is looking to recruit a Registered Manager at their new Children's Care Home, based in New Malden. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Manager to join a fast growing and progressive operator, with opportunities to move into dual site registration.
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the children's home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the home's statement of purpose.
Service Description
Managing the residential home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people. The role of a Residential Manager is the person with overall responsibility of the Children's Home and is accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their psychological, emotional & social development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a children's residential or similar setting
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce – Essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) – Essential or working towards
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager meeting Ofsted criteria
