Our client is looking to recruit a Residential Manager based at their new Childrens Care Home, which will be based in Uxbridge.
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the childrens home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the homes statement of purpose.
Service Description
Managing the residential home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people. The role of a Residential Manager is the person with overall responsibility of the Childrens Home and is accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their psychological, emotional & social development.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Education
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services; or equivalent; or a preparedness to work towards the same.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
Experience
2 years experience working with children in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level.
Supervision or management experience.
Working with children, young people and their families.
Work in a residential setting.
Inter-agency work.
