The Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you'll play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of precision engineered components and systems.

• Manufacturing components using manual milling machines and lathes
• Producing accurate, high quality work in line with engineering drawings and specifications
• Assembling and fitting precision components and sub assemblies
• Inspecting, measuring and checking components throughout the manufacturing and assembly process
• Carrying out adjustments, modifications and repairs where required
• Identifying and resolving mechanical issues through effective fault finding
• Maintaining high standards of workshop organisation, equipment care and safe working practices
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider engineering function

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with practical, hands on engineers who enjoy working with precision mechanical systems and take pride in producing work to the highest standard.

• Proven experience operating manual mills and lathes
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills
• Experience working with precision engineered components
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information
• Confidence using measuring and inspection equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• A methodical approach to problem solving and fault finding
• A proactive, quality focused mindset

Desirable Experience

Whilst not essential, we'd be particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience of:

• CNC machining
• CAD/CAM systems
• Engine building or engine components
• Motorsport, aerospace, defence or specialist engineering environments
• Complex mechanical assemblies and prototype development
