Looking to launch your career in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven business that’s shaking up how major organisations buy and manage their energy? Here’s your chance to dive into the world of commercial development, operational excellence, and clean‑energy innovation — all at once.

We’re building a new kind of energy platform for the UK’s largest power users. The foundations are in place, momentum is building, and we’re ready for someone curious, ambitious, and eager to learn to join the team.

What This Role Is All About

As a Trainee Development & Operations Consultant, you’ll be part of the team that keeps our commercial engine running smoothly and our pipeline of opportunities growing. You’ll learn how the pieces fit together — data, outreach, systems, process, and people — while contributing to real work that makes a difference.

Some days you’ll be researching potential customers and spotting opportunities. Other days you’ll be supporting meetings, tightening workflows, updating systems, or helping prepare proposals. You’ll sit in the middle of many different functions, giving you a rare, full‑circle view of how modern B2B commercial operations work.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

  • Working with leaders across Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Product to support commercial activity.
  • Researching potential customers, partners, and industry insights to identify new opportunities.
  • Keeping Salesforce, Pardot, and Account Engagement tidy, accurate, and useful.
  • Supporting outreach by helping craft clear, relevant messages across email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Preparing notes, action lists, and follow-ups that keep conversations and deals moving forward.
  • Helping run weekly reporting and rhythm meetings that keep the team aligned.
  • Highlighting operational issues, trends, and areas for improvement — and helping drive solutions.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of experience — you just need the right mindset. If you’re early in your career and excited by the idea of learning fast and contributing to something meaningful, this could be perfect for you.

We’d love someone who is:

  • Naturally curious and keen to understand how things work
  • Comfortable with data and thoughtful with communication
  • Organised, reliable, and happy juggling varied tasks
  • Motivated to improve processes and take ownership
  • Passionate about the future of clean energy and how businesses can transition responsibly

Most of all: someone who’s ready to learn, willing to try new things, and takes pride in doing their best work.

What You’ll Learn

  • How high‑value commercial processes run behind the scenes
  • How large energy deals move from first interaction to contract
  • Core operational systems like Salesforce and modern sales‑enablement tools
  • The rhythms and routines that make a commercial team effective
  • How to build a career path in Business Development, RevOps, Sales Ops, Customer Ops, or Marketing

You won’t just see how decisions are made — you’ll help make them. Every improvement you support, every insight you surface, and every process you refine will make a real impact.

Why Work With Us

We’re a small, ambitious team on a mission to change how businesses access clean energy. You’ll join at a stage where your contribution genuinely matters, and where you’ll get more exposure and responsibility than you’d find in most junior roles.
