Flourish are on the hunt for a Senior Recruitment Consultant / BDM for our client in the recruitment sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious BDM to shape their own path, build a team, and help our client expand into new markets, including the US East Coast. High performers will have the chance to earn equity. The company operates in sales, tech, and insurance markets, and will soon add freight and logistics. The environment is modern, flexible, and highly incentive-driven, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, growth, and reward for results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively win new business through outbound business development.
  • The main focus will be on cold calling, but the role also includes networking, attending events, leveraging LinkedIn, and building a social brand.
  • The BDM can focus on the market or markets that best match their experience and interests.
  • Re-engage lapsed clients from an extensive database of previous clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced recruiters to ensure a seamless candidate journey.

Experience:

  • 1 to 5 years in sales and/or recruitment, ideally selling recruitment services, but other strong business development backgrounds will be considered.

Personality:

  • Hungry, motivated, entrepreneurial, and competitive, but also collaborative and culturally aligned.
  • The company does not want big egos or disruptive personalities.
  • The environment is mature, adult, and supportive.

Skills:

  • Strong cold calling and outbound business development skills.
  • The expectation is to spend about 60 percent of time on cold calling, 20 percent on networking and events, and 20 percent on LinkedIn and email outreach.
  • Ability to network, attend events, and build a social brand.

  • The BDM will be the first dedicated hire for this function, with the intention to build a sales team beneath them as the business grows.
