Flourish are recruiting for our client that are independent providers of essential business technology, for a Business Development Manager, Team Leader position in Birmingham.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to lead a new business team across a mobile focused sales team. This is a senior leadership team (SLT) position, reporting directly to the Sales Director, with a mandate to shape, build, and lead a best in class junior sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take strategic ownership of the entire mobile focused new business channel, with the freedom to define and implement your vision for success.
- Design, execute, and continuously refine the sales strategy, including team structure, recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and sales enablement.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high performing BDE team, in Birmingham.
- Present strategy, progress, and recommendations at board level, demonstrating credibility, professionalism, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Operate as a key member of the SLT, contributing to broader commercial strategy and working closely with peers across sales, client services, and other functions.
- Create a high energy, resilient, and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
- Monitor and adapt strategy based on performance data, demonstrating agility and self-awareness to pivot or course correct as needed.
About You
- 2 - 4 years experience in SDR roles, including significant experience as an SDR manager.
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading teams in the telecommunication space with clear evidence of delivering results.
- Comfortable and credible presenting at board level, with the presence and communication skills to influence and challenge senior leaders.
- Data driven, with a deep understanding of sales technology, lead generation best practices, and performance analytics.
- Highly driven, resilient, and self-starting, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ambitious, innovative, and eager to take full ownership of the SDR channel, making a tangible impact on business growth.
