We are currently recruiting for a Senior Dental Officer to join an award-winning Community Dental Service delivering specialist care within a prison setting in Norfolk on a permanent basis.   • Salary: £84,781 – £99,163 per annum pro rata (actual salary £50,868.60 – £59,497.80)

Key Requirements of the Senior Dental Officer

  • GDC registered Dentist
  • Active NHS Performer Number
  • Previous UK clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive NHS dental care independently
  • Strong communication and patient engagement skills
  • Ethical, compassionate and motivated approach to patient care
  • Ability to fulfil travel requirements where community clinic support is required
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Ability to meet Ministry of Justice security clearance requirements

Senior Dental Officer responsibilities

  • Delivering a full range of NHS dental treatment within a prison setting
  • Providing oral health assessments, screening and preventative care
  • Delivering high-quality patient-centred dental care in a secure setting
  • Working alongside an experienced Specialist Dental Nurse during clinical sessions
  • Supporting oral health promotion and long-term dental outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and compliance standards
  • Supporting service delivery across additional Community Dental Service clinics where required
  • Working collaboratively with prison healthcare and wider multidisciplinary teams
