We are recruiting for an Orthodontist or Dentist with a Special Interest in Orthodontics to join a well-established mixed dental practice group in Shropshire. This opportunity is available on a permanent basis, offering 1 day per week (Wednesdays) with an established NHS orthodontic contract and additional private earning potential.

This role is suitable for an Orthodontist, Dentist with a Special Interest in Orthodontics (DwSI), Associate Dentist, Orthodontic Dentist, or General Dentist with orthodontic experience seeking a flexible position within a supportive and established practice environment.

You will need to be registered with the GDC as a Dentist, hold a valid NHS Performer Number, have UK clinical experience, and have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Working as an Orthodontist offers you:

  • 1 day per week (Wednesday)
  • Immediate start available
  • Working across two established practice sites in Shropshire
  • NHS Orthodontic Contract of 1,261
  • 50% of UOA contract value paid to the clinician
  • Monthly payments based on 1/12th of the annual contract value

Required Skills & Experience for this Orthodontist position:

  • Fully qualified and GDC registered Dentist
  • NHS Performer Number
  • Valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Proven UK clinical experience
  • Experience providing orthodontic treatment
  • Orthodontic qualification or special interest in Orthodontics desirable
  • Ability to manage ongoing orthodontic treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards

As an Orthodontist, your responsibilities may include:

  • Managing and continuing existing orthodontic treatment plans
  • Providing NHS orthodontic care in line with contract requirements
  • Delivering high-quality patient care and treatment outcomes
  • Assessing, planning and reviewing orthodontic cases
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records
  • Working collaboratively with dental nurses and the wider practice team
