We are recruiting for an experienced Head Dental Nurse to join a friendly, modern mixed dental practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Dental Nurse looking to step into a leadership role or an existing Head Dental Nurse seeking a new challenge within a supportive and professional team.

The successful candidate will lead the nursing team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, compliance, and infection prevention.

As a Head Dental Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supervising, and supporting the dental nursing team
  • Assisting clinicians with a wide range of dental procedures
  • Ensuring CQC, HTM 01-05 and cross infection standards are maintained
  • Managing clinical stock, equipment, and surgery preparation
  • Supporting rota planning and day-to-day organisation of the nursing team
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to junior team members
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with GDC standards
  • Delivering exceptional patient care and helping create a positive patient experience

Required Skills & Experience

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse
  • Previous leadership or senior dental nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cross infection control and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Positive, professional, and patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
