Year 5 Teacher in Worcester

Are you a dedicated and experienced Key Stage Two Teacher looking for a full-time role?

A welcoming and supportive 2-form entry Primary School in Worcester is seeking a confident Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team from September on a long-term basis until July 2027.

This is a full-time class planning role, with the opportunity to work alongside the other Year 5 Teacher, who will provide support with planning and ensure consistency across the year group.

This role is ideal for an experienced Year 5Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support pupils through this important stage of their education.

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing learning across your class, working closely with the other Year 5 Teacher and wider school team to ensure continuity, consistency, and high-quality learning experiences for pupils.

As a Year 5Teacher, your responsibilities will include

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Working collaboratively with the other Year 5 Teacher to support planning and ensure consistency across the year group.
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress.
• Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to support pupil development.
• Attending relevant staff meetings and contributing to the wider school community.
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, social development, and academic progress.

To be successful in this Year 5Teacher role, you will need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage Two.
• A strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, flexible, and professional approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
