We are seeking an engaging Science Teacher who can deliver exciting and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering curiosity, developing scientific understanding, and helping students build confidence in the subject. Whether you are an experienced Science Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this position provides the opportunity to work within a supportive department that values teamwork, innovation, and student success. This role is due to start in September and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the National Curriculum
  • Undertake full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment, and marking
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to maximise achievement
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning throughout the classroom
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Secondary School to support departmental objectives
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the Secondary School

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Applications welcomed from an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced Secondary Teacher
  • Previous experience teaching Science within a Secondary School environment
  • Excellent subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience as a Science Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Teacher, Classroom Teacher, or Subject Specialist is desirable
