Flourish Education is recruiting a Computing Teacher for a long‑term role in Worcester, starting in September 2026 and continuing for the full academic year. This Computing Teacher position offers flexibility, with both full‑time and part‑time options available, while working within a large and well‑established Secondary School environment. The school is a large and thriving Secondary School with excellent facilities and a strong commitment to academic achievement. This Computing Teacher role is suited to an experienced teacher who can confidently deliver engaging lessons and contribute to the continued success of the department. The successful Computing Teacher will join a dedicated team focused on developing students’ digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Job Role
- Deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Teach a broad Computing curriculum, including computer science, programming, digital literacy, and information technology
- Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain excellent behaviour management and high expectations within the classroom
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole‑school objectives
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents within the Secondary School
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching Computing within a Secondary School setting
- Excellent subject knowledge across Computing and Computer Science
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
- Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passion for delivering high‑quality lessons that inspire and motivate pupils
Benefits
- £150 to £240 day rate, which equates to £29,250 to £46,800 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (pro‑rata for part‑time)
