Flourish Education are recruiting for a SENDCo Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school within the Wolverhampton area to join their staff team on a long‑term basis. Our client is looking to appoint a dedicated SENDCo Assistant to work alongside the SENDCo to support the implementation of effective SEN strategies and interventions across the school. You will be expected to model best practice and support classroom teachers in delivering inclusive, high‑quality teaching for all pupils. This SENDCo Assistant role is due to start in September until December. The position is 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday.

Required Skills and Experience for this SENDCo Assistant role:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Work collaboratively with the SENDCo to support the implementation of effective SEN strategies and interventions
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring targets are met and progress is clearly evidenced
  • Develop and create tailored learning resources to support individual pupil needs and enhance engagement
  • Support class teachers in differentiating work to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support plans
  • Liaise with teaching staff, support staff, parents and external agencies to ensure a consistent approach to pupil support
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback on pupil progress to the SENDCo and senior leadership team

Working for Flourish Education as a SENDCo Assistant you will receive:

  • £168.80 day rate to £232.57 day rate which equates to £32,916 per annum to £45,351 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
  • Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 12.07% of your day rate
