We are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming infant school in the WS5 area from September. You will be based in one of two specialist SEN classrooms, each supporting up to 10 pupils from Nursery to Year 2. Pupils have a range of additional needs, primarily Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). The provision is led by an experienced SEN teacher and supported by a dedicated team of teaching assistants, creating a well-supported and collaborative working environment. This is a full-time, ongoing position starting in September, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive school environment.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare/teaching support
  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Experience working in Primary Schools as a SEN Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • UK school-based experience
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
