Flourish Education are seeking a History Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in Walsall, with the position available from November. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic History Teacher to join a supportive department and inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
The school is looking for a History Teacher who can confidently teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the History curriculum and be able to deliver lessons that encourage students to question, analyse and develop their understanding of historical events and themes.
You will be responsible for full classroom teaching, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking. You will also be expected to maintain positive relationships with students and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting in November, with the opportunity to continue through the academic year for the right candidate.
Required Skills and Experience as a History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience teaching History at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Good understanding of GCSE History requirements
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- A passion for History and helping students develop their analytical skills
