Health and Social Care Teacher

Our partnership school is seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Health and Social Care Teacher to deliver BTEC Health and Social Care and BTEC Child Development across Years 10, 11 and 12. A couple of Key Stage 3 Religious Education and PSHE periods also form part of the timetable, so a willingness to teach outside the core specialism is important.
You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including but not limited to planning, preparation, assessment and marking, alongside tracking coursework and internal verification for the BTEC units.
This role is full-time, 5 days per week, and the position is to start as soon as possible and will continue to the end of the academic year.
Required Skills and Experience as a Health and Social Care Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), also suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
- Previous experience teaching Health and Social Care, Child Development, Childcare or a related vocational subject at secondary level
- A strong understanding of BTEC assessment, coursework tracking and internal verification requirements
- Confidence delivering Religious Education and PSHE at Key Stage 3
- Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students across Key Stage 4 and Post-16

- Pay: £174.71 to £240.72 day rate which equates to £34,069 per annum to £46,940 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience)
