Flourish Education is recruiting a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in Walsall from September 2026 until March 2027.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive school and deliver engaging lessons that help students develop practical skills, confidence and a strong understanding of food and nutrition.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering a combination of practical cooking and theory-based lessons covering food preparation, nutrition and food science.

You will encourage students to develop their creativity and independence while maintaining high standards of behaviour, food hygiene and safety.

This role would suit an experienced Food Technology Teacher, although suitably qualified ECTs are also welcome to apply.

The position is due to start in September 2026 and will continue until March 2027.

  • Food Technology Teacher, Design Technology Teacher or Secondary Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching Food Technology within a UK Secondary School
  • Strong subject knowledge covering food preparation, nutrition and food science
  • Good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for helping students develop practical skills and confidence
