A friendly and supportive Primary School in Tipton is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their team from next term through to the end of the academic year in July. This is a full‑time position, based within the school’s Pre‑school room, supporting young children during an important stage of their early development.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children’s learning through play‑based activities, helping to develop their communication, social, and physical skills. You will supervise and engage children during both indoor and outdoor play, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will also support children with feeding and personal care throughout the day. This school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Nursery Nurse who is committed to delivering high‑quality early years support and care.
Responsibilities- Supporting children in the Pre‑school room with their learning and development through structured and play‑based activities.
- Supervising and engaging children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Assisting with feeding and personal care in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
- Observing and monitoring children’s progress and contributing to their development.
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
- A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (essential).
- Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
- Experience supporting children with personal care needs.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
- Availability to work full‑time from April until July.
- Competitive Salary – £18,049 - £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

- Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot.
- KCSIE‑compliant safeguarding and prevent duty training inclusive of modules relating to legislation, FGM and abuse.
