A Teaching Assistant is required for day-to-day and short-term supply in a variety of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools in the Hereford area. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support learning across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years (EYFS), working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality education. Job Role
- Support the Class Teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning
- Assist across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on school needs
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide general classroom support including preparing resources
- Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school values
Required Skills and Experience
- Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Classroom Support in a Primary School
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Must have previous UK school experience
- A flexible and proactive approach

This Teaching Assistant position is based in Hereford and is easily commutable from Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, and Hay-on-Wye. The Primary Schools we work with are accessible by public transport and offer onsite parking.
