We are currently recruiting a Supply Teacher to work closely with our Secondary Schools across Tamworth and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a Teacher with QTS who is open to delivering prepared lessons, fostering a positive learning environment through effective behaviour management and adapting seamlessly to diverse subject areas and school environments.
As a Supply Teacher working for Flourish Education, you can teach whilst maintaining a great work-life balance. Day-to-day supply allows you to fit your work around your other commitments, and in addition, there is no requirement to take on planning and preparation responsibilities while still getting the opportunity to do what you love. It is a great way for an experienced educator or an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) to experience working in a variety of different schools and provide support to those who need it.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering a pre-planned lesson that has been left for you by the school.
- Covering different subjects throughout the day.
- Supporting different year groups throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Teach from structured materials left by the regular teacher.
- Enforce the school’s specific behaviour policy to maintain a safe, focused learning environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teachers Status (QTS).
- Experience working within a UK Secondary School.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent subject knowledge across at least one specialism and willingness to excel in other specialists.
- Optimism and a solution-oriented approach to taking on a new classroom.
Working as a Secondary Supply Teacher offers benefits:
- £130.00 - £200.00 day rate, which equates to £25,350 to £39,000 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience).
- Holiday Pay – 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot.
