Are you an experienced and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity? Flourish Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Stratford-upon-Avon, seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from June until the end of the academic year. This Year 5 Teacher role is a part-time position working Tuesday to Friday each week, ideally suited to a confident practitioner with strong Key Stage 2 curriculum knowledge and excellent behaviour‑management skills, who can quickly build positive relationships and maintain high standards within the classroom.
The school offers a supportive and friendly working environment, where staff work collaboratively to ensure consistency, high‑quality teaching, and positive outcomes for all pupils.
Responsibilities- Taking full responsibility for a Year 5 class, including planning, teaching, assessment and marking.
- Delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Creating a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes learning and pupil engagement.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations for all pupils.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
- Attending relevant meetings and contributing positively to the wider school community.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 5.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
- A minimum of two excellent references.
- A competitive salary of up to £232 per day which equates to £45,240 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.
