Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant looking for a full-time role starting in September? A friendly and supportive Primary School in Stourport-on-Severn is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their Pre‑school team from September on a long‑term basis. In this Nursery Assistant role, you will work closely with the room leader and wider EYFS team to support learning through play‑based activities, both indoors and outdoors. You will help to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. This nursery is looking for a reliable, proactive, and caring Nursery Assistant who has a good understanding of the EYFS framework and a passion for supporting young children.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children’s learning through play‑based and structured activities
- Assisting with indoor and outdoor provision to ensure a safe and engaging environment
- Encouraging creative, sensory, and hands‑on learning experiences
- Supporting children’s early communication and social development
- Assisting with daily routines, including snack times and transitions
- Supporting children’s personal care needs in a respectful and nurturing manner
- Working collaboratively with the room leader and wider EYFS team
Qualifications
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and early learning goals
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- A passion for supporting children’s early development
