A welcoming two-form entry primary school in Stourbridge is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team as soon as possible through to the end of the academic year in July. This rewarding position involves full classroom responsibilities, including planning, teaching, and assessment, supporting pupils during an important stage in Key Stage 1.

As a Year 2 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Taking full classroom responsibility including marking, assessment, and pupil progress monitoring.

  • Working closely with the parallel Year 2 teacher to support shared planning and consistency across the year group.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

To be successful in this Year 2 Class Teacher role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Availability to work full-time from as soon as possible until the end of the academic year in July.
