We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our successful and supportive team. This role will start in September and can be either full-time or part-time. If it is full-time, you will take on full class responsibilities.
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the National Curriculum
- Undertake full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment, and marking
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to maximise achievement
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning throughout the classroom
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Secondary School to support departmental objectives
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the Secondary School
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Applications welcomed from an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced Secondary Teacher
- Previous experience teaching Science within a Secondary School environment
- Excellent subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience as a Science Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Teacher, Classroom Teacher, or Subject Specialist is desirable
Benefits
- £168 to £232 per day, which equates to £32,256 to £45,240 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year, dependent on experience
