Are you an experienced and adaptable Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Flourish Education are delighted to be recruiting a full-time KS2 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Smethwick. This role is to start in September, and will continue until October half-term, with the potential to extend. This KS2 Teacher position is ideal for a confident and engaging practitioner who can deliver high-quality teaching within a Lower Key Stage 2 setting and create a positive and supportive learning environment. This is a non-planning role, making it well-suited to teachers who excel in classroom delivery and behaviour management. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged to apply. This full-time KS2 Teacher role will be working 5 days per week during term time only. Each class benefits from the support of additional staff to ensure effective teaching and learning.

You will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning within the classroom. You will work collaboratively with the Key Stage 2 team and wider school staff to ensure consistency and a positive learning experience for all pupils.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons to a Lower Key Stage 2 class using pre-prepared materials.
  • Managing the day-to-day organisation of the classroom.
  • Maintaining strong behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Working closely with support staff to ensure effective classroom practice.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Ensuring effective safeguarding, care and wellbeing for all pupils.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Lower KS2.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of two excellent references.

This KS2 Teacher role is based in Smethwick and has good transport links from Oldbury, West Bromwich, Handsworth, and the surrounding areas. For those travelling by car, on-site parking is available.
