SEND Teacher opportunity in a GOOD Primary School based in Walsall, starting after half term on a full-time maternity cover. This SEND Teacher role focuses on teaching small groups of pupils with a range of SEN needs within a mainstream setting.
Job Role
- Full class responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment as a Class Teacher
- Teaching small groups of children with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and learning difficulties
- Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Working closely with the SENCO and wider Primary School team
- Maintaining high expectations through excellent behaviour management
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working as a SEND Teacher, Primary Teacher or Class Teacher
- Confident teaching across KS1 and KS2
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Experience within a mainstream Primary School environment
- A nurturing, flexible and inclusive approach to teaching
