About Us
Flourish Education Recruitment are continuing to grow and we’re looking for a driven and passionate SEND Recruitment Consultant to join our friendly, slightly bonkers and fiercely supportive team.
We’re proud to be a Great Place to Work UK Certified company and ranked as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development. Our people are at the heart of everything we do – we work hard, celebrate wins, and always have each other’s backs.
About the Role
This is a brand-new SEND desk – a chance to truly make it your own. But let’s be honest: this isn’t a warm desk. As a SEND Recruitment Consultant, you’ll be building it from scratch, developing strong relationships with SEND, SEMH, and Alternative Provision schools, and sourcing the specialist candidates who can thrive in these unique environments.
The work is hugely rewarding, but it will take drive, resilience, and tenacity to carve out your market. For the right person, the earning potential is massive (£60,000–£80,000+ OTE within a few years is absolutely achievable).
Your role as a Special Educational Needs Recruitment Consultant will include:
- Building and developing your own pool of SEND teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff.
- Proactively reaching out to SEND and AP schools to understand their challenges and offer tailored staffing solutions.
- Matching candidates not just on experience, but also on their ability to handle the emotional and physical demands of SEND settings.
- Making regular calls and school visits to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Becoming a trusted voice in the SEND recruitment market – using social media, networking, and your own personal brand.
- Using our market-leading CRM (Bullhorn) to manage your client and candidate base.
- Supporting with urgent cover when required – sometimes outside of traditional office hours.
What We’re Looking For
- Recruitment experience is a bonus, but not essential – what matters most is passion for SEND recruitment and the resilience to build a desk from the ground up.
- A tenacious, proactive attitude – the kind of person who doesn’t give up at the first knock-back.
- Confidence in communication – on the phone, face-to-face, and online.
- Resilience – SEND recruitment can be challenging, but the impact you’ll make is huge.
- A natural team player – because we succeed together at Flourish.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Why Join Flourish?
