We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school based in Rugeley.
This Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment within a Year 3 classroom.
The school is looking for a confident candidate with experience providing small-group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects, who can effectively support pupils with their learning and development.
The role will start in October 2026 and continue until April 2027. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
There is also the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Required Skills and Experience
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you must:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
- Have good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Have experience working in a nursery or primary school as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
- Have experience supporting pupils through small-group and 1:1 interventions.
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or have a DBS certificate that was issued within the last 12 months.
- Be able to provide a minimum of two strong references.
- Have recent UK school-based experience.
