Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role? A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Rugby is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September until the end of the Christmas term initially, with the potential for the role to continue.

This role is ideal for an experienced SEND Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning for pupils with a range of complex needs. You will be teaching a small class of six pupils in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help each child achieve their individual learning and developmental goals.

The school is looking for a nurturing and adaptable teacher with previous SEN teaching experience who can create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and assess personalised learning for a small KS2 class of pupils with complex needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment and adapt lessons to meet individual targets while supporting progress, independence and wellbeing.
  • Monitor progress and support pupils’ wider development in collaboration with the SENDCO, Teaching Assistants, parents and external agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Benefits:

  • £168.80 to £232.57 per day, equating to £32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on a full five-day week, depending on experience.
