Are you a dedicated and adaptable Key Stage One Teacher looking for a part-time role? A welcoming and supportive Primary school in Leamington Spa is seeking a confident Year 2 Teacher to work part time within their year 2 class, starting in May, until July working 3 days per week. This role is ideal for an experienced Year 2 Teacher who can confidently plan, and deliver high-quality lessons and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment.
As a year 2 teacher, you will focus on delivering high-quality teaching, supporting pupils’ progress, and ensuring continuity of learning within the classroom. This role will be working alongside another Year 2 Teacher to collaboratively provide the best level of care for this class until the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging lessons as a year 2 teacher in line with the national curriculum.
- Taking full responsibility for a year 2 class during the maternity cover.
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting pupil progress.
- Creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
- Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development alongside academic progress.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience working as a year 2 teacher or within KS1.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
- The ability to adapt quickly within a new school environment.
- Competitive daily pay rates, from £162 to £223.
- Holiday Pay – PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate.
