Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Leamington Spa area. This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 and is expected to continue on a long-term basis until July 2027.
The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets.
The school is looking for a patient, proactive and adaptable Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs.
Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Providing support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting pupils to access learning and achieve EHCP targets
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff
- Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Following the school's policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting children with SEND within a school setting
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs is desirable
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
