Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a proactive Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive primary school in Redditch, working in their Reception class on a 1:1 support basis.
This part‑time position is set to begin in January until the end of the academic year.
You will be working every afternoon, from 12:30 - 3:30 pm, with a child in Reception with ASC.
Suitable candidates will have a good understanding of the Early Years curriculum, and be experienced in 1:1 support roles, and Autism.
Key Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role
- Support a reception child with his learning, in the afternoons only.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS/ KS1 framework.
- Promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and wider team.
Essential Requirements to work as a Teaching Assistant
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Early Years practitioner in a UK school or nursery setting.
- A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS/KS1 curriculum.
- A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
- Two strong references that confirm your experience in a similar role.
