Flourish Education are recruiting for a Pastoral Support Assistant to support the Year Team at a welcoming secondary school in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous pastoral experience who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed both academically and personally.
The school is looking for someone who can provide additional support to its Year Team until Christmas, helping to maintain continuity of pastoral care while they await the arrival of their new Head of Year.
The successful Pastoral Support Assistant will work closely with the Year Team, providing pastoral support to students and helping the school maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
This Pastoral Support Assistant role is a temporary opportunity running until Christmas 2026.
Job Role
- Provide pastoral support to the school's Year Team.
- Support students with their day-to-day pastoral needs.
- Work alongside the existing Year Team to provide continuity of support.
- Help maintain a positive and supportive environment for students.
- Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
- Support the wider pastoral team as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a pastoral role within a school.
- Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- A supportive, approachable and professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
