Flourish Education is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Redditch from October 2026 through to February 2027. This long-term opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging English lessons and making a positive difference to students' learning. As the successful English Teacher, you will teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, planning and delivering creative lessons that challenge and inspire learners. You will support students in developing their literacy skills, critical thinking, and confidence while helping them achieve their academic goals.
Job Role:- Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and implement school policies consistently
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching English in a UK Secondary School
- Strong subject knowledge of English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently

- Pay from £174.71 to £240.70, which equates to £34,068 to £46,937 based on working 5 days a week for a full school year, dependent on experience (M1-M6)

Location: This secondary school is based in Redditch and is easily accessible by car and public transport from the surrounding areas, including Bromsgrove, Alvechurch, Studley, Droitwich Spa, Worcester and South Birmingham. The school also offers onsite parking for staff.
