Flourish Education are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a Secondary School in Redditch. The school has a strong focus on creating an inclusive and positive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
We are working in partnership with the school to appoint a Cover Supervisor who can confidently oversee classes when the regular teacher is unavailable. You will supervise pre-prepared lessons, ensure students complete the work provided and support the school in maintaining high standards of behaviour.
The position is available to start in September and continue until the end of the academic year.
Your responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor will include:
- Supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Providing students with clear instructions and overseeing pre-set work.
- Ensuring pupils remain on task and complete the work provided.
- Monitoring and managing student behaviour effectively.
- Collecting completed work at the end of each lesson.
- Returning work and relevant information to the classroom teacher.
- Reporting any behavioural issues, incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
- Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
To be considered for this Cover Supervisor role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students.
- Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
- A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- The confidence to supervise classes independently.
