Are you an energetic PE Teacher passionate about inspiring fitness, teamwork, and sporting excellence in young people? Flourish Education is recruiting a PE Teacher for a long-term role in Worcester, starting after Easter and continuing to the end of the academic year. This PE Teacher role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available, while working in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.

The school boasts excellent sports facilities, allowing a PE Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that develop students’ physical skills, confidence, and teamwork. Behaviour across the school is excellent, and staff benefit from the support of a highly effective and approachable leadership team. Although initially temporary, this PE Teacher position offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. QTS is required.

Job Role
  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities, including team games, individual sports, fitness, and health education
  • Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet different learning needs
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management within gym, field, and classroom environments
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School
  • Work confidently as a Supply Teacher with flexibility for part-time or full-time hours
Required Skills and Experience
  • PE Teacher, Secondary Teacher, PE ECT, Supply Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education and Sport
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for physical activity
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate and challenge pupils

Location

This PE Teacher position is based in Worcester, easily commutable from Redditch, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Rubery, and surrounding areas. The Secondary School benefits from excellent transport links across Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands.
