Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Oldbury, starting as soon as possible. The successful PE Teacher will join a supportive department and play an important role in delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons across the school.

This long-term PE Teacher position offers full-time or part-time working options, depending on your availability. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, assessing student progress and supporting pupils to develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of sport.
This PE Teacher role is due to start as soon as possible.

Job Role

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teach a range of sports and physical education activities
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress
  • Maintain positive behaviour and implement school policies effectively
  • Differentiate lessons to support students with a range of learning needs
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Encourage students to develop confidence, teamwork and a positive attitude towards physical activity

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in PE – ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
  • A positive reference from your most recent employer
  • A genuine passion for supporting students and helping them achieve their potential

  • Pay from Β£174.71–£240.70 per day, equivalent to Β£34,068–£46,937 per annum based on 5 days per week across a full school year, depending on experience (M1–M6)

Location

This PE Teacher position is based in Oldbury and is easily commutable from surrounding areas including West Bromwich, Smethwick, Dudley, Tipton, Halesowen, Rowley Regis, Birmingham and Sandwell. The school is accessible by both road and public transport.
