A welcoming Primary School in Oldbury is seeking a motivated and passionate Nursery Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time basis, covering a maternity.
This Nursery Teacher role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for Early Years education, looking to work in a supportive and well-structured environment.
You will take on full class teacher responsibilities within the school’s pre-school class, including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment, ensuring pupils make strong developmental progress during this important stage of their learning.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress, providing clear feedback to support development.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
- Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Early Years teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a passion for Early Years education.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that support early development.
