Nursery Assistant

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care and support for children within the EYFS. This role offers a chance to make a difference in the lives of young learners while working in a supportive team at a school committed to your professional development.

This Nursery Assistant position is due to start after February half term, initially until the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.

Job Role:

• Support the teaching staff in the delivery of EYFS activities within the Nursery setting.

• Assist in the planning, preparation, and implementation of the National Curriculum for EYFS.

• Ensure that children’s welfare and safeguarding needs are met, following school policies and guidelines.

• Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children.

• Work closely with the Nursery Lead and other Teaching Assistants to support the progress of children in the Nursery class.

• Previous experience as a Nursery Assistant or in a similar EYFS setting.

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Early Years Education (or equivalent).

• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, safeguarding procedures, and promoting positive behavior.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• A passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.

• £85.02 to £98.41 per day, which equates to £16,578.90 to £19,189.95 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

• The option of PAYE or Umbrella.
