A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Malvern is seeking an experienced PPA Teacher to join their team from September to cover a maternity leave. This position is expected to last for at least two terms, with the potential to continue for longer. The role is for 4 days per week initially, although full‑time hours may be available for the right candidate.
This PPA Teacher role is ideal for a confident and versatile practitioner who enjoys teaching across a range of year groups and can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff. As planning is required, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each class.
Working across various classes throughout the school, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, maintaining continuity within the curriculum, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of year groups within the primary phase.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Adapt teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Support pupil progress and provide feedback in line with school policies.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and senior leaders.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching within a UK Primary School.
- Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
- The ability to plan and deliver high‑quality lessons across a range of age groups.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
