We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Malvern. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment in a Year 5 class.
The school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently support children with their learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide support across the Year 5 curriculum, helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence, and academic skills.
This role is full-time and will start after the half-term break on a long-term basis. The working hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant Role:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
- Have a good knowledge of the Primary curriculum.
- Have experience working in a Primary School as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Have experience supporting children within a Key Stage 2 setting.
- Be confident supporting children's learning, development, and behaviour.
- Be able to work effectively alongside the class teacher and wider school team.
- Have a DBS registered on the Update Service or one that was issued within the last 12 months.
- Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent references.
- Have recent UK school-based experience.
