Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a full‑time opportunity in a primary school setting?

Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Kingswinford, who are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join their team in September.

This teaching assistant role is full‑time and will be based across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils through targeted interventions and small group work. The role will involve working across a range of classes, so experience within Upper Key Stage 2 is particularly important.

The school provides a supportive and collaborative environment where staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 through targeted interventions and small group activities.
  • Working with pupils to reinforce learning and help close gaps in understanding.
  • Supporting teaching and learning across a range of classes, particularly in Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and confidence within lessons.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant within a primary school.
  • Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, particularly Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of two excellent references.
