Are you an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a part‑time role from September? Flourish Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Kingswinford to recruit an HLTA from September until December. This part‑time position involves working 4 days per week and covering classes across the school from Reception through to Year 6. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who enjoys variety and can confidently deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Early Years, KS1, and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Support pupils’ learning and engagement across a variety of subjects
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure consistency and continuity across classes
- Provide feedback on pupil progress and classroom activities
Qualifications
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
- Previous experience covering classes within a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading a class
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working across all primary year groups
- Proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning
