Flourish Education are recruiting for an experienced Cover Supervisor to work within a welcoming Secondary School in Bewdley. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment, with high expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development.
Our partnership school is looking for a confident Cover Supervisor who can supervise lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for overseeing pre-planned lessons, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
This role is due to start in September and continue until the end of the academic year.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students understand the tasks set.
- Keeping pupils focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.
- Collecting completed work and returning it to the relevant teacher.
- Providing feedback to teachers regarding student progress, behaviour and any incidents.Creating a calm, safe and productive learning environment.
Required Skills and Experience as Cover Supervisor:
- Degree or similar qualification.
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Good knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive and professional approach to working with young people.
Working as a Cover Supervisor for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
- £100–£120 per day, equating to £19,500–£23,400 per annum, based on experience.
