We are recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to join a forward‑thinking and academically ambitious school committed to excellence in education. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you’ll receive tailored support to thrive in your role. This Humanities Teacher role is due to start in September for the whole academic year. You will be teaching across KS3 & KS4, planning and marking across all subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Teach either or all of Geography, History and RE throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, mark and assess students.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Report pupil progress against targets/action plans.
  • Build relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

  • Specialist in Humanities.
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Humanities – Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Provide contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Humanities.

  • Competitive salary – Day rate of £168 to £232, equivalent to £32,256 to £45,240 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year, dependent on experience.
  • Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 12.07% of your day rate.
