There are some low-level SEN needs within the group, so a caring, attentive, and adaptable approach is essential. You will work closely with the nursery team to ensure each child’s individual needs are met and supported effectively.

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children aged 2–3 years with their learning and development through structured and play-based activities.
- Supervising and engaging children during outdoor play, promoting exploration and physical development.
- Providing personal care in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Supporting children with low-level SEN needs, adapting activities where necessary.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Observing, monitoring, and contributing to children’s developmental progress.
To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
- Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
- Experience providing personal care.
- An understanding of supporting children with additional needs.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Availability to work full-time from after the Easter break until the end of the academic year, with potential to continue in September.
