Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Flourish Education are delighted to be recruiting a full-time KS1 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Halesowen. This role is to start in September and will continue for the full academic year. This KS1 Teacher position is ideal for a passionate and engaging practitioner who can deliver high-quality teaching within a Key Stage 1 setting and create a positive and nurturing learning environment. This is a full class teaching role, making it well-suited to teachers who are confident in taking full responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and classroom management. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged to apply. This full-time KS1 Teacher role will be working 5 days per week during term time only. You will be fully integrated into the school team and supported by experienced colleagues and teaching assistants. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess pupil progress and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning within the classroom. You will work collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 team and wider school staff to ensure consistency and a positive learning experience for all pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Managing the day-to-day organisation of the classroom.
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress.
  • Maintaining strong behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Working closely with support staff to ensure effective classroom practice.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Ensuring effective safeguarding, care and wellbeing for all pupils.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of two excellent references.
